Mothers Day

Mothers' Day weekend we went camping in Drumheller - our first camping trip of the year and Erica's first one ever! It went better than expected, though I did spend a lot of time in the camper; feeding, changing, and getting Erica to sleep. We went with 3 other lovely families and Amie had a blast riding her bike and hanging out with the other kids. On Mothers' Day the weather was beautiful and we went to the outdoor spray park and saw lots of dino statues around town. Then we went out for supper at BP's. Later after the kids were asleep we had a campfire and I even got to read a magazine on the iPad! It was a great day and now I get to use the gift certificates for Kobo and Old Navy!

Amie's preschool class had a really cute presentation for the moms on the Friday before the weekend.   All the kids made a special place mat and a card with tissue flowers and had a marigold in a pot they decorated to give to their moms.  They also served iced tea and cookies and sang some very special songs.  I'm so happy to be a mom!

4 Months!

Holy cow! How did 4 months go by already? Baby Erica is soooo cute :) -she's a very happy baby and loves to 'talk'. I just love all her cute rolls, so different from skinny mini's Steph and Amie! She had her shots yesterday :-( poor baby, so isn't feeling quite herself today. Lots of cuddles.

Amie has been busy lately with lots of drawing activities. She even complexly used up some of her gel pens!

Breakfast with Stephanie

On Monday we took Steph out to Cora's for breakfast to celebrate another year of university completed! We are so proud of her :) It was her first time eating there, and as always the food was great!

It was also Erica's first time in a highchair and we had to put padding all around her to keep her upright, but she enjoyed the scenery.

Amie has really been into taking pictures with my phone and even though it takes me a while to delete the 50 that are just of random things, like the carpet, Erica's toys, an eyeball, a drawer of clothes, etc., it is neat to see pics taken from her perspective and she does get some good shots!

12 weeks!

Hard to believe it's been 12 weeks already! Erica has grown out of most of her little tiny newborn clothes, but we were lucky enough to get hand-me-downs from a few friends.

Auntie Cathy, Uncle Gord and the family were able to visit a couple weekends ago and Auntie Debbie stopped by this week. We also had a nice brunch on the weekend while Auntie Rayme was here, with Jann, Sydney and Jon, my cousin.

We've been busy just getting through the day, but we gave been rewarded with lots of great smiles and coos. Amie has been a big help and helps out cleaning and even made herself a peanut butter and honey sandwich!

A Walk in the Park

We have had an awesome winter this year in Calgary! It has been so nice to get out with Erica, and Amie has really enjoyed running around outside. We got out to Bowness Park the other day and, of course Amie spent lots of time on the swings - her favorite!

Erica at 7 Weeks

Can't believe over 7 weeks have passed by already! Erica started smiling at 5 weeks - really smiling, not just passing gas! But it's been so hard to catch it on film, so finally we've been able to get some pics as we are getting more smiles. She certainly is a cute kid and it's neat to see her becoming more alert and responsive. She had her check up last week and now weighs 11 lbs 2 oz. She definitely is chubbier than the other two - and has cute little rolls on her arms and legs.
