December 29 - Happy Birthday Karla

So, another year has passed and much to be thankful for! Mike and Amie gave me a gift certificate to Market Mall to do some shopping and Mike hired a girl to come to the house to do a massage in the afternoon! Steph came over In the morning and brought Crave cupcakes and tulips. Later, we went to Milestones for supper, and Erica cooperated by snoozing through supper. It was an awesome day and I felt very spoiled!

December 28 - Newborn Pics

Today Carol Markusse came to do some newborn pics in the morning and in the afternoon we had Erica's first check up. It amazes me how long it takes to get out the door!

December 27 - 1 week old!

Erica is 1 week today! Can't believe a week has gone by already. We are settling in, napping lots, and taking it easy. Amie is adjusting well and loves holding her new baby sister and being a great helper.

December 26

On Boxing Day we went to the mall just to get out of the house. We were able to see how to get everything organized for a trip our, and Amie played in the play area.

Our friend, Carol Markusse, who does professional photography, had taken some lovely maternity photos earlier in the month as a baby shower gift. We were so pleased with how they turned out!

Christmas!!

We had a quiet and awesome Christmas. Amie got up around 7:00 to see if Santa came, which he did of course! He ate his cookies and milk and this year Rudolph got celery. She opened her stocking in a very organized fashion and then on to her gifts. Santa brought a Barbie camper, a camera, a Disney Wii game, and a Barbie Christmas movie. Grandma Mar sent pj's, auntie Deb sent a Honeybee game, and auntie Rayme sent a very cute mitten and hat set and necklace.

Mike made his traditional eggs benedict for breakfast and we managed to get showered and dressed before Steph & Sean and Jann, Jim, Sydney & Jonathan arrived around 1:00.  We had a nice visit and exchanged some gifts and took some fun pics. I was able to catch a couple naps and Amie got to play with her toys.

It was a great Christmas - we are definitely blessed with so many things - a new baby, two other amazing healthy daughters, a warm home, wonderful family, a loving marriage - so much to thank God for!

Christmas Eve

Wow, can't believe how fast December has gone! Amie did some errands with daddy today and then they met up with auntie Jann and Sydney at the theater to see The Muppet Movie.

Following tradition, we let Amie open a gift tonight and she picked Auntie Rayme's, which was a very cute kitty mitten and hat set and a necklace. She loved them both and asked 20 times to open more!

December 23 - Erica day 3

Time has been flying by! Amie has been getting lots of daddy time and I've been trying to get lots of naps!
