Amies pics

Amie has really been into taking pictures with my phone and even though it takes me a while to delete the 50 that are just of random things, like the carpet, Erica's toys, an eyeball, a drawer of clothes, etc., it is neat to see pics taken from her perspective and she does get some good shots!

12 weeks!

Hard to believe it's been 12 weeks already! Erica has grown out of most of her little tiny newborn clothes, but we were lucky enough to get hand-me-downs from a few friends.

Auntie Cathy, Uncle Gord and the family were able to visit a couple weekends ago and Auntie Debbie stopped by this week. We also had a nice brunch on the weekend while Auntie Rayme was here, with Jann, Sydney and Jon, my cousin.

We've been busy just getting through the day, but we gave been rewarded with lots of great smiles and coos. Amie has been a big help and helps out cleaning and even made herself a peanut butter and honey sandwich!

A Walk in the Park

We have had an awesome winter this year in Calgary! It has been so nice to get out with Erica, and Amie has really enjoyed running around outside. We got out to Bowness Park the other day and, of course Amie spent lots of time on the swings - her favorite!

Erica at 7 Weeks

Can't believe over 7 weeks have passed by already! Erica started smiling at 5 weeks - really smiling, not just passing gas! But it's been so hard to catch it on film, so finally we've been able to get some pics as we are getting more smiles. She certainly is a cute kid and it's neat to see her becoming more alert and responsive. She had her check up last week and now weighs 11 lbs 2 oz. She definitely is chubbier than the other two - and has cute little rolls on her arms and legs.

Haircut

Amie really needed a trim, so we headed out to Melonheads. Since her hair is curly it seems not to grow very fast, but her ends were dry and she'd been asking to go for a while.

It's like an activity to go there! There are TV's with cartoons; you pick the seat you want to sit in, made to look like a kid's ride; you get a butterfly clip and sparkles after the haircut and then you get a pony ride at the end!

4 weeks

Wow, can't believe the past 4 weeks have gone by so fast! It's been a flurry of diaper changing, feedings, naps and trying to get housework and meals and Amie time in between!

Amie had show and tell today and brought a pic of Erica and her baby booties to show her preschool class. it wasn't that long ago that she took in a picture of the ultrasound of Erica at 32 weeks.

Grandma Mar came to visit for a few days and Amie got lots of attention! I even got out for the first time by myself with the two girls to take Amie to swimming, which went well since Erica slept the whole time!

Erica is growing and there are some sleepers she already doesn't fit in. She is a great eater and loves to snuggle. We've seen a couple half smiles, but are waiting for a really good one. She likes her swing and bouncy chair and is really looking at us when we talk to her now.
