December 21 - Taking baby Erica home

After being at the hospital since 11 pm on Dec 19th it seemed like we were there for a long time! We were all anxious to get home and settle down with Baby Erica.

Erica was so good on our way home.  She sat in her seat, nice and warm and fell asleep on the drive.  It still seemed very surreal that she is a real part of our family! We are all very happy :)

New baby sister!

We went in late last night and spent the night walking the halls of the hospital.

This morning the doctor broke my water and then a while later gave me a drip to get those contractions moving. At 12:10 pm we had a new baby girl, Erica Jann, 7 lbs 9 oz, 50 cm long.

She's so adorable! Amie and Steph were in for a visit and adored her!

Preschool Christmas Concert

December 19

Today was Amie's preschool Christmas concert. It was soooo cute! All the kids had Santa hats on and had rehearsed several songs and poems. They did a great job! After their performance we had a little party with lots of goodies in the foyer of the church where her preschool is held and the children all had a Christmas card and a gift bag with an ornament that had a picture of themselves in it.  Very cute! 

The teachers are so great and did such an awesome job putting on this performance.

Polly Pockets

Amie has loved playing Polly's since she got them for her 2nd birthday from her auntie Jann. We actually found a bunch of the original Polly's, just like Stephanie used to have, at a second hand store not too long ago, but the bigger ones are still her favorite.

Jonathan's Visit

My cousin Jon is visiting from N.S. and he came over last night.  It's been 7 1/2 years since I saw him! It was the first time both Mike and Amie had met him, and Jann & Jim came over for supper.

 This morning we went to the Calgary Farmers Market and Amie got to decorate a gingerbread man!

Amie and I get our pic with Santa, who predicts baby Erica will be born Dec 28th! We will see....



Swim lessons

Amie finished her swimming lessons for the session at the YMCA. She loves swimming and has gone from not putting her face in the water last spring to swimming underwater! She had a really great instructor and proudly passed from bobbers to floaters.

Tea Party

Amie set up another awesome tea party today!  She meticulously puts out her animals and then gives them each a plate with some plastic food on it.  You can also see the penguin in the baby car seat :)

Well, off to play restaurant!
