On the Move

Amie has gotten crawling down pat and now has moved onto pulling herself up onto things. She is quite proud of herself here for being able to climb onto this shelf. Just a couple weeks ago this shelf held picture frames and candles, which I had decided Amie would just learn not to touch.... You can see it is now cleaned off!

Toys just don't hold the same appeal now that Amie can move around. She is 'helping' me with the laundry and was quite pleased with herself that she could stand up next to the basket.

9 Months

Amie is almost too long for her baby tub. When we wash her hair her legs hang over the end! She loves bathtime and splashes lots. She always tries to get the facecloth - which is so much more fun than any of the other toys.

Will came to visit while Sonia had coffee. As you can see Amie snatched Will's snacks and they both had banana stars all over the place.
Amie's a bit too big for her baby swing now. Even strapped in she can manouver herself around. No staying still for this kid!

Halloween

This year Amie is a very cute pumpkin for Halloween. I couldn't resist the costume!

Her cousin Sydney is a Corpse Bride - very scary!
Sydney came over on the weekend and we carved pumpkins and did some halloween crafts.
Our masterpieces - Mike's dragon, Karla's cat, and Sydney's pig carvings.

Crawling!!

Amie is finally crawling! She starting inching herself along the carpet a week ago and now she's going full steam. When she gets near something she knows she's not supposed to touch (I have some picture frames on a low shelf) she looks back with a big smile and tries to hurry to get herself there quick. She hasn't quite figured out how to move on the kitchen floor yet though; her pants slip on the floor and she can't get a grip. It looks like she's on a treadmill, and she isn't impressed. She is definitely very proud of herself when she gets across the room to get whatever she's had her eye on!

My First Tooth!

Amie finally got her first tooth yesterday (at 7 1/2 months). She's been kinda cranky lately, so that's probably why. She keeps sticking her tongue in and out to feel the little bumps.
